Description

This fundraiser provides support of Elder Network's 10 programs that are provided to seniors 55 years and better and their caregivers. The Fall Fling Gala is our main fundraiser for the year and it serves as an important source of funding to allow us to maintain free and low-cost services. This evening will start with a cocktail hour and live music, followed by a dinner with programming (including a keynote speaker and presentations from Elder Network staff and volunteers), as well as a live auction. Additionally, a silent auction will be held throughout the evening with items from across our three counties of service and beyond. The evening will commence with live music and dancing, through the musical talents of Sister & Company and Brock Besse, and the technical support of Rochester MyHome. Our guests will be invited to partake in a complimentary photo booth, as well as the chance to mingle with Elder Network staff and volunteers. Elder Network is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves Olmsted, Wabasha, and Winona Counties. Through the services and programs that Elder Network provides to our communities, we strive to ensure that, "Those 55 and better and their caregivers have the opportunity to thrive and lead rewarding lives." This event is held every year to celebrate and appreciate the accomplishments of the staff and volunteers at Elder Network. The gala allows the community, faithful supporters, loyal funders, and others to participate in learning about the services that Elder Network has been offering to Olmsted, Wabasha, and Winona County seniors and caregivers, over the past year. This past year was an especially trying one, and Elder Network has remained busy serving the needs of clients amidst the pandemic and this current phase of adjustment and transition for our community. We greatly appreciate the support and time committed by all of our volunteers, staff, and community network. We look forward to this event each year to highlight the work of our wonderful volunteers, staff, and community network. We appreciate the opportunity to share an enjoyable evening with those who generously support the work that we do. We will provide opportunities to bid on items through silent and live auctions, as well as other chances to partake in supporting ongoing services and programs. Mayo Clinic is offering a matching grant of $2,000 for the evening. Participants are supporting our work through their donations, which can be amplified through our other funds through Title III funding. Thus, for every $1 that you contribute, we will receive $5 to support our continued service delivery.
