October is Safe Sleep & SIDS Awareness month. Join MOMS Club and guest speaker Kayla Borton of the Just in Case Foundation for our monthly meeting at the beautiful Healthcare Foundation of LaPorte's Conference and Learning Center. Just in Case Foundation, was founded in 2021 by Kayla who lost her 7 week old baby boy to SIDS. The long term goal of the foundation is to get legislation to pass a bill that requires insurance companies to cover the Owlet sock to pregnant moms, just like they do breast pumps. The purpose of the foundation is to purchase Owlet socks for babies until the bill is passed and also for those that don't have health insurance. https://www.justincasefoundation.com/ MOMS Club of LaPorte/New Prairie, IN strives to create opportunities for mothers to connect with other mothers, the community and learning without needing to find babysitters or feel nervous for bringing crying babies or energetic children to events.
