"In creating the Academic Research Program, we've created a natural vehicle where students can pursue something with incredible passion, and then acquire the skills to take that passion and create something that matters in the greater world." During this three-day, in person workshop, you will be immersed in the how and why University Liggett School has created a four-year Academic Research Program as a core part of its Upper School curriculum. Participants will hear from University Liggett School faculty, current students, recent alumni, and ARP mentors and partners, on their ARP experiences. Participants will engage in planning to develop lesson plans and strategies on how to incorporate academic research in their schools and classrooms. Who should attend: High school teachers, library specialists, and school administration What you will receive: interactive sessions, a breakfast and lunch each day, curriculum materials, an end of the workshop reception, a certificate of completion, and SCHECHs (State Continuing Education Clock Hours).
