THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION: We are a hands-on outdoor oriented forestry company. Our work changes seasonally so there is no time to get bored. Currently, we are gearing up for a very busy season and are in need of 2 or more motivated individuals to work statewide from now till mid-September assisting owners with forest herbicide applications on Pa Game Commission and private forest lands. 40 hr./week is expected with abundant overtime available. Flexible 8 to 12 hour days allow for extended weekends if desired. We stay on each job site and drive from site to site almost daily. Overnight RV accommodations available. Basic self-serve food is provided. You are responsible for transportation to and from job sites when you have off. Other duties throughout the year include construction and dismantling of deer exclosure fences, tree planting, preparing timber sales, backpack herbicide spraying, maintaining equipment, cleaning, landscaping, etc. Much of this work is mechanized with skid steer and UTV support. During the "Off-Season" we work a regular 40-hour week; often striving to work four 10-hour days with 3-day weekends when weather and sunlight permits. The company shuts down approx. 4 weeks each year around Thanksgiving, deer season, Christmas and inclement weather (e.g. snow days); 3 weeks per year of shutdown time is...with-pay. You may have up to 2 weeks (80 hours) unpaid personal time at your discretion. Candidate must enjoy working in remote areas of PA, hold a valid driver's license, have a good driving record AND possess one or more of the following: • Experience with mid-sized truck driving and trailer towing • CDL Class A • Mechanic and/or welding experience • Skid steer and/or log skidder experience • Chainsaw experience • Pesticide Applicators License If you don't have the licenses or experience you will likely be offered training to receive it.
