Hello everyone, This is my boy Kodak and he is a rescue. We rescued Kodak and were supposed to find someone to adopt him but instead fell in love with him. I rescued Kodak as a tiny kitten from a woman that was keeping him in a cardboard box with a towel and regular dry cat food just thrown inside the box. He didn’t even have any water. She kept him inside the closed cardboard box in her garage because “he cried to much” were her exact words. Most likely because he had just been taken away from his mommy and then shortly after when he did not meet her standards, locked in a box alone. My children and I took him home and have loved his lil vocal self to no end. Well now our Kodak has gotten sick. He is having a hard time breathing and sounds really congested. I took him to the vet to have him checked out and his vet said he def has some sort of respiratory infection. She gave me antibiotics that we had to give to him once a day for 7 days. She said if it was just a common cold the antibiotics would clear him up and he would be fine however if it did not then he would need several tests to determine exactly what the issue was. I walked out of her office with about $300 less than what I walked in with. Unfortunately our boy Kodak didn’t get better and is now even worse. I can’t afford the estimated $1600+ dollars to get him the tests he needs. She said it could be allergies or something far worse but she cannot tell me without doing the tests. I came here hoping that some of my neighbors neighbors would be willing to share the go fund me I have set up and that friends far and wide hopefully will donate so I can find out what is wrong with him and get him the care he needs to get better and be the beautiful active boy we knew not long ago.
