Hi, I am a drummer who turned an acoustic kit into a mpc sampler/sequencer using sensory percussion. I’d like to work with a singer who is comfortable improvising within a given framework because the nature of the programming means the songs will be a little different each time. Since the computer can’t hear your melody, you have to react in real time to what is happening. Everything is always programmed in key, but you won’t be able to rely on cues and harmonies being the same for every performance. It’s a lot of fun and exciting playing a different variation of the same song each time. I’d love to work with someone who would also enjoy that.
