LOS ANGELES, CA — A 50-year-old woman was shot in downtown Los Angeles just before midnight Saturday. A news videographer at the scene said she was shot in the face. The shooting occurred at Sixth and San Pedro streets, a dispatcher at the Los Angeles Police Department's Operations Center told City News Service. The suspect fled on foot. Paramedics took the woman to a hospital for treatment, she said. Her condition was not immediately known. The City News Service and Patch staffer Kat Schuster contributed to this report.
