TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa and Nucor Steel are set to once again partner for a Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day on Saturday, June 4 from 8 a.m. until noon. Click here to subscribe to our free daily newsletter and breaking news alerts. Items can be dropped off at the Public Safety Logistics building, which is located at 3311 Reese Phifer Avenue. Household hazardous waste includes: "discarded, unused or leftover portion of household products containing toxic chemicals." The City of Tuscaloosa says items will be neutralized and recycled into new products or safely and properly disposed.
