The Packaging Technician (“PT”) will support production operations within the company’s extraction facility. This employee will primarily focus on concentrate packing operations and finished goods packaging. Daily responsibilities may include weighing and unitizing items accordingly, properly labeling, stickering, and loading items into packaging, checking for defective products, performing final checks on packaging and/or hardware items, and quality control checks for brand standards. The PT will also be responsible for sorting and counting both sale products and packaging supplies, staging and storing in-process and final products, and maintaining detailed operations records. This position reports directly to the Post Production Manager and is expected to spend upwards of 90% of their daily time on production work. Skills and Qualifications Preferably, the Packaging Technician will have a High School Degree or Diploma and ideally has advanced academic experience (community college, trade school) and professional licenses/certificates. Must be 21 or older. This position needs to be a process driven and organizationally rooted professional, a manager of information and reporting, detail oriented regarding notes and numbers, and always considering product outcomes and customer experiences. The ideal PT will be able to perform in both “single worker” and “assembly line” situations, be able to follow direction, adopt and perform training techniques, while at the same time be conscientious for process improvements. The PT will be solutions oriented, results driven, and a reliable member of the Production Team that excels in verbal and written communication while fulfilling Production Technician directives. The ability to closely track production metrics and data, understand general lab safety, equipment, and procedures, implement effective packaging strategies, and maintain high quality workplace relationships. The ideal candidate will have a current and valid Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Key or Support Badge, and has experience or the competency levels operating an A10 Cartridge filling machine.
