Local established fence company is looking to fill our Shop Foreman position. Weekend work and lots overtime also available. Pay DEA, benefits available after probationary period. We are currently seeking: Foreman with experience fabricating wood, vinyl, chain link and ornamental iron fences and gates. Other responsiblities include: • Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to supply, delivery and personnel. • Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members. • Providing adequate resources to meet project schedules, best practices and safety needs. • Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, power tools and procedures. • Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably. • Regularly reporting project status to supervisors and project managers. • Customer-service skills to communicate with clients, customers and office staff to develop a positive working relationship. • Initiative for generating their own business opportunities for the company and being proactive in locating new clients. • Speaking skills for providing clear orders, explaining complex information to clients and co-workers and discussing technical details with project managers. • Technical skills for interpreting construction methods and technologies along with contracts and technical drawings, blue prints, submittals, shop drawings, schematics and diagrams. • Writing skills for writing budgets, proposals and plans along with documenting work progress for clients and others involved. Keeping accurate records of projects, client information, shop procedures. • Have Computer skills, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Fencing Programs etc. • Be able to communicate through email, understanding customer’s needs and really managing expectations to keep customer satisfied. • Be able to inventory and order material, consumables, equipment, tools, and other items relating to fencing and construction. • Able to work efficiently and productively coming up with systems and shop procedure to effectively manage work flow. • Be organized and clean both in an office setting as well as a shop setting to minimize wasted time and unsafe shop practices.
