Meet Buckley! A couple weeks ago I rescued this nine month old coonhound Buckley from craigslist. He had been in a cage his entire life so I’m so happy I brought him home to have a chance at a better future. I’m hoping to find him a great forever home. He is very sweet but is a puppy and needs a lot of (humane)patient + consistent training, exercise and love. Preferably with a family that has younger dogs because he loves to play once he’s comfortable! (too rough at this stage in his life for older dogs) He’s very shy and nervous at first but once he feels safe he is sweet and playful! Will bark when left alone. No long term crates or kennels. He deserves better. I’m really hoping someone sees this that may have room in their family for this little guy. He does have trouble with resource guarding towards other dogs (not people).. he's getting better but he does need someone who will lovingly teach him better. I want to be sure he goes to someone gentle, kind and patient. Must have a large fenced yard, big farm or bring him with you to work. Must have opportunities to socialize consistently. I’ll transport him for the right family ♥🐾 There is no fee, however I would require we split the cost of getting his rabies and being neutered before you take him home. (scheduled for june7) I will need to come meet the whole family and where he will be staying to be sure it's a good fit. Thanks for your time and consideration.
