Community machine/woodshops

Over the last few years I've realized I like working with my hands and tinkering. Problem is a don't have a lot of space or tools available to me living in a apartment. I've heard some cities have community style workshops where you can pay a monthly fee to get hands on experience and use out of some heavy duty tools. Cnc/ lathe/ drill press/ planars/ and such. I haven't been able to find any such shop in the area. I do a lot of small metal tinkering and rust removal, 3d printing/ CAD design, and just started getting into woodworking as well. So just trying to branch out and find options in the area. Thanks for your time.
