Hello ALL! My name is Jamie; I've been playing the piano for 20 years. I started the TheNotSoGrandPiano to inspire and show anyone interested in playing the piano that with dedication and hard work - they CAN learn the piano and play the music they love! I am here to spread the love and knowledge of music, music and piano theory, and to teach all whom desire to learn to play the piano, the skills they need to progress toward and achieve their personal goals. My lessons can be in person, or via social media apps. (Zoom, YouTube, etc) I can also provide detailed and comprehensive video recordings and MIDI files of lessons for a specific song or songs at request (All lesson and sheet music services must be paid for in advance) I Create engaging piano lesson plans and drills to drive retention, comprehension, and dexterity. Proficient and skilled in: Sight-reading Piano instruction Piano and musical performance Piano music theory Song arrangement, composition and notation Proficient in multiple notation software programs (MuseScore, NCH Crescendo, BandLab, and Cakewalk) In addition to providing the above resources, I also book solo performances for events. I already have an extensive list of songs I have arranged and notated into sheets, from popular songs, that I play and continue to add new songs to. I easily provide ambient background music and continual 'fill' for speakers, or speeches being made that require 'mood'. Events I have performed for in the past have included: Weddings Funerals Reunions Anniversaries Company meetings Christmas Parties Contact me for more information or to schedule a performance. I play a variety of music to include, but not limited to: Anything for Love by Meatloaf, Always With Me Always With You by Joe Satriani, Come Sail Away by Styx, Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin, San Francisco (Flowers in Your Hair) -variation, You Say by Lauren Daigle, Sea of Love by Phil Philips, and many others. I arrange my pieces by listening to the real song and transcribing them into sheets, and I am always working on new ones. I can also just continually play filler/background/ambient music, for the entering/exiting/seating of guest, etc. I am available for: weddings, funerals, dinner parties, or private showings/hearings. I currently serve the Central Texas area, and can travel within reason from the Temple/Belton area.
