Kitchen backsplash and counter renew

Hi, this is Circa 1970, and we want to bring it up to the 2022. We can do a new sink as needed. The sink and faucet are old, but very functional. But we want to do the counter and backsplash. I'm flexible as long as it looks modern. Probably tile backsplash and synthetic granite or something for the counter. Let me know your ideas and show me photos of things you've done in the past. The backsplash is 20 in by 8 ft, and the counter is 21 in by 8 ft. Oh, and I am in town this week, so it needs to be done right away. But I am very available from now until Friday. I will buy materials with you, or by what you have if the pricing is great. Thanks, Dave
