TITLE: Mechanic
A mechanic’s primary responsibilities are assisting in maintaining a safe and serviceable fleet of equipment for the company. Primary oversight – general preventative maintenance repairs with an array of vehicles and machinery and field repairs on the job site.

Meeting/Office: 70% Orland Based, 30% Jobsite
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. LEADERSHIP
a) Focus on relationships – Fleet is customer service orientated. Strong relationships with the Foreman, CM’s, and Project managers is essential to a successful Fleet Program
b) Consistently demonstrate behaviors in line with JBCC’s stated values
2. FLEET OPERATIONS
a) Inspect vehicle and assist lead mechanic to diagnose the problem(s)
b) Perform basic auto maintenance and minor repairs
c) Inspect vehicle’s fluids, battery, tires, brakes, belts, etc.
d) Change oil, flush fluids, replace filters, grease bearings, etc.
e) Rotate and balance tires, alignments
f) Replace brake pads, resurface rotors
g) Minor tune-ups
h) Keep shop area neat and clean and account for tools
Qualifications:
a) Basic automotive operational knowledge/working knowledge of shop equipment is preferred
b) A positive attitude and good work ethic
c) Valid driver’s license and good driving record – CDL endorsements a plus!
d) High school diploma or equivalent
