Description
We are the Dallas Honor Guard - a non-profit charitable Texas Corporation that provides full military funeral honors for veterans who served honorably in any branch of the Armed Forces of the United States. AND WE NEED VOLUNTEERS.
The Honor Guard is comprised totally of volunteers. It is not necessary to be a veteran or former member of the military to join. The basic elements of the funeral honors ceremony for all veterans, which will be conducted on request by the funeral home or the family are:
* Folding and Present Flag
* Providing a rifle detail
* Playing of Taps
We will train you in flag folding and a few rifle movements. We will also provide you a free uniform. Funerals are almost always conducted weekdays from 10AM to 4PM. Typically we assist in one or two funerals a week - - sometimes more, sometimes less.
If you are retired, or disable, or sitting at home, etc. and looking for something honorable and highly worthwhile to do with your time - than look no further. Please VOLUNTEER and JOIN US NOW.
The rendering of Military Funeral Honors is a way to show the Nation's deep gratitude to those who, in times of war and peace, have faithfully defended our country. This ceremonial paying of respect is the final demonstration a grateful Nation can provide to the veteran's families.
