Extraordinary full-time babysitter needed for a precocious and spirited three year old girl. Mary Poppins meets Kristy from the Baby-Sitter’s Club. We are a dynamic (split, supportive and communicative co-parenting) family with a lot of moving parts. Our toddler is spunky, sweet, charming, strong-willed, clever, inquisitive, and did we say spunky? You are: - warm, creative, silly and fun but also intuitive, discrete and mature - savvy about safety, but also about magic, play, and imagination - able to read a room and understand nuances - open to helping with other basics like running to the grocery store or post office - looking to make a real commitment (at least for the foreseeable future) - Spanish speaking as an added bonus (but not required) In addition to daily routine and care, the role will require school pick-up, transportation to and from activities and playdates, and a lot of good old fashioned fun. She loves dress-up, imaginative play, and going on adventures throughout the city. We are looking for a great fit who seamlessly fits into our family dynamic, yet respects boundaries and behaves with maturity and discretion. The right candidate will have flexibility, low ego, and the desire to commit for the foreseeable future. Job Details Start date: Mid-August with opportunities to have paid phase-in visits sooner Location: Downtown Hours: general hours are 9:00a - 6:00p, Monday - Friday with occasional travel. The child is enrolled in school during the year, and camp in summer, so you will often not be needed until noon or later.
