Description
Q2 SJVMA Member Meeting June 15, 2022 I 8:30 - 10am CTEC Multipurpose Room I 1320 N. Mariposa St. I Fresno, CA 93703The SJVMA welcomes Jane E. Tierney, Founder of purple link. Our meeting will be focussed around the ever important, and now more than ever, topic of the supply chain. We will also have guests Peter Weber and Tony Boren, Executive Director, Fresno Council of Governments, to talk about what the future holds for supply chain improvement and the inland port project. The California Inland Port, now in its advanced planning stage, promises to beneficially transform how we move goods in California – faster, cheaper, cleaner -- while offering extraordinary investment opportunities for manufacturing, distribution and e-commerce in the San Joaquin Valley. Join us for all the latest updates and information pertaining to manufacturing and its ecosystem within our community. Jane E. Tierney's BioJane founded purple link in 2015, sharing with clients there’s a better way to obtain value through the supply chain. Clients find dollars leaking through their supply chains, draining the bottom line, and uncover risks lurking in the supply chain that emerge at the worst possible time. With purple link, clients develop skills to use with processes and tools to reclaim those dollars, return them to the bottom line, monitor and manage risk, and sustain savings year over year. An engineer with an MBA, Green Belt, CPSM and CPSD certifications, she's writing her first book to share with other practitioners. In addition to running her business, she teaches Operations and Suppy Chain Managment courses in the CSU system and serves on the advisory board for the Operations & Supply Chain Management program at CSULB. In 2020 she co-founded the So-Cal SCRM Council for local executives focused on Supply Chain Risk Managment which hosts an Annual Supply Chain Risk Symposium. A speaker/author, she offers bi-monthly Dynamic Dialog webinars and conducts workshops on a variety of topics. Her first book is due out this year.
