NORTHPORT, NY — A Northport woman has started a foundation in the memory of her late sister, Chloe. The Chloe Belle Foundation's goal is to bring joy to sick children and young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer, says Remi Lindberg. "I am so excited and passionate about it," Remi told Patch. "It has helped me with my grief tremendously." Chloe Lindberg died of a rare form of leukemia at 26 in January 2021. Chloe loved children and worked in the children's room of the Northport Public Library, said Remi. The foundation named in her honor will also strive to help young adults between 18 and 35 years old battling cancer because Chloe was 25 when she was diagnosed with leukemia. Remi feels young adults are a forgotten demographic when it comes to charitable organizations, she said. "My family and I started this foundation as a way to honor Chloe and continue her life work - making other people happy, leaving people better than when she found them and bringing joy," Remi said. "Chloe's smile, laugh, sweet personality, soft-spoken temperament and positive disposition could do all these things in itself. But it was her care for all other beings that inspired the creation of The Chloe Belle Foundation." Click here to read the full story.
