Here are the top three stories today in Healdsburg: Healdsburg's Joahan Maldonado-Nieto, 21, has been sentenced to 8 years in state prison for his role in two separate shootings. The sentencing was conducted by Honorable Christopher Honigsberg. The first shooting incident occurred in January 2021 and the second shooting occurred on Feb. 27, 2021, at an apartment complex on Healdsburg's Ward Street. (Community Voice)The Healdsburg Veterans Memorial Beach dam installation will be delayed due to the ongoing drought. This is the third year in a row that the project has been delayed. The Russian River level is too low to ensure fish habitats are not disrupted during the installation. (The Santa Rosa Press Democrat)Sonoma County voters will begin voting in-person today for the Jun. 7 primary election. County voters will be able to vote at one of the county's seven voting centers.
