We are an Annapolis, Maryland based construction firm specializing in residential and commercial construction. We have projects spanning from the eastern shore of Maryland to Northern Virginia. We are seeking a full-time skilled carpenter/supervisor to add to our team immediately. Responsibilities Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed Assist principal with structural design, planning, layout, and installation Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements Build window frames, doors, drywall, cabinets, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items Lay out floorings, roofing or drywall ensuring they are leveled and compatible Provide excellent customer service to clients Maintain a safe and clean working environment Requirements Proven experience as carpenter Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) Ability to read technical documents and drawings Experience with custom trim work and cabinetry Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times Willingness to travel in the DMV area Good knowledge of English Good physical condition and endurance Access to a reliable vehicle Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is a bonus. Compensation + Benefits Compensation is based on experience Additional benefits are available after six months of employment Job Type: Full-time Monday-Friday Typical hours are 7:00AM-3:30PM but may vary based on project needs Salary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience Benefits: Paid time off and select federal holidays after 6 months of employment Potential access to company work truck/van after 6 months of employment Supplemental Pay: Potential bonus pay after completion of successful project; principal discretion Work Location: Multiple Locations
