Press release from the City of Eden Prairie: May 27, 2022 Splash Pads Opening for the Season Beginning today, the Round Lake Park splash pad is open for the season. The Miller Park splash pad is expected to open in early June. Learn more at edenprairie.org/SplashPads. Memorial Day Ceremony The Eden Prairie Veterans Memorial Committee is hosting its annual Memorial Day Ceremony from 11 a.m. to noon at the memorial located in Purgatory Creek Park. The event honors those who have served our country and includes patriotic music performed by Eden Prairie High School students. Bring a blanket or folding chair. Volunteers Needed for Hometown Celebration Events Be part of the team that makes Eden Prairie's 4th of July Hometown Celebration events memorable for our community. Volunteers are needed July 3 and 4 to help with games, kickball, the information booth, hydration station and more. This a great opportunity for families or groups ages 14 and older. Shifts are two hours or less and volunteers receive a parking pass and T-shirt. Sign up today! Minnesota Festival of Jazz on the Prairie Kick off the summer concert season Sunday, June 12 with an afternoon of big-band jazz accompanied by the Eden Prairie Noon Rotary's Rib Fest. The Minnesota Festival of Jazz on the Prairie takes place at Staring Lake Park from noon to 7 p.m. Learn more about the Rib Fest raffle and dinner. Stop the Trafficking 5K Registration is open for the Stop the Trafficking live and virtual events. The live event will take place Saturday, June 11 at 8:30 a.m. at Purgatory Creek Park. Pre-race speakers begin at 8:10 a.m. near the pavilion. The virtual event is an opportunity to run or walk 3.1 miles in your home, at a park or through your neighborhood.
