Description

We are looking for a talented and responsible handyman to join our team - we have a growing property management company, as well as a construction company and are looking for our next team member! The ideal candidate will have basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical and customer service knowledge. This candidate will be skilled in a wide range of areas, but they will also be able to recognize when a repair is outside of their skill set and make a recommendation to their supervisor. This individual will be able to speak to their skills and experience with time management, being a self-starter and effectively managing multiple priorities over a variety of simultaneous jobs and work orders. We are also looking for someone who is comfortable with technology and can quickly learn new programs, as we use a few different software platforms to manage our workloads and team communications. Required skills and qualifications include: Self-starter with good time management skills Ability to safely use common power and hand tools HVAC knowledge and repair skills Experience installing and replacing plumbing systems Strong communication skills with property management and tenants Updating or resetting properties for rental listing Completing minor plumbing repairs such as fixing dripping taps or running/leaky toilets Installing household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers Installing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms Fitting shelves, hanging pictures and installing window locks Conducting emergency audits Undertaking basic gardening Providing itemized quotes and invoices Bonus skills: Billing, invoicing and estimates Negotiating the scope of work and timescales with clients The ideal candidate will have: GED or high school diploma Reliable transportation Basic power and hand tools 2+ years of relevant experience Additional trade school or experience is a plus This position is located in the Spokane area, and all jobs will be located in the Spokane area. Part-time hours initially, with the ability to expand to full-time based on performance. Pay range of $18-25/hour, DOE.
