SUMMARY • Perform routine preventative maintenance and repair on multi family homes. • Performs variety of skilled duties in one or more of the building trades, such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical, or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining, repairing the buildings. • Must have own truck and tools • HVAC & Pluming preferred DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintenance, repair and minor construction work in the basic trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, locksmith, flooring, tile and mechanics • Assists with installation and maintenance of roofs, furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, and a variety of other structures and items • Inspect properties and communicate with management regarding proper grounds keeping and general cleanup and maintenance • Perform safety checks throughout the properties to ensure a safe and clean environment for the tenants and to eliminate all hazards QUALIFICATIONS • One year experience as a semi-skilled worker in one or more of the basic building maintenance trades • Knowledge of manual and electrical hand tools • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours and weekend assignments • Must be able to operate a forklift, light truck and other related motorized equipment EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) • 1 year of related employment in the building maintenance PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to move objects up to 50 pounds occasionally • Work involves periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircases • Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching; bending at the waist.
