Job Description: Golden Warehouse & Logistics Solutions is seeking a hardworking and dependable individual to assist in the timely loading and unloading of freight from tractor trailers and rail containers. Job will offer opportunity for growth, as we are a small company experiencing rapid expansion. Ideal candidate is self-sufficient, and enjoys completing tasks without being micromanaged by supervisors. No weekend or holiday work will be required. All necessary training and materials for this position will be provided. Core Responsibilities & Duties: • Responsible for the loading/unloading of 53 ft. commercial trailers • Accurately inventory freight as it is received from commercial carriers. • Safely load and unload trailers by utilizing equipment such as hand trucks/pallets jack and forklifts • Verify documentation and condition of freight to assure quality standards are achieved • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds • Repair/shrink wrap mildly damaged materials as needed • Position freight in a manner to facilitate orderly loading in accordance to RDDs, or due dates • Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse • Other minor duties as they are assigned. Job Requirements & Qualifications: • Ability to read and write in English • Reliable transportation to and from the job site • Communication and problem solving skills • Forklift and general freight handling knowledge is a plus • At the time of hire, must complete OSHA forklift training course (online link will be provided), if not already forklift certified. • Must be 18 or older Job Type: Full-time/Part-Time Pay: From $18.00 per hour Schedule: • 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: • Durham, NC: Reliably commute Work Location: One location
