Auxiliary Percussion Sub Needed - June 11 in McKinney

Meets

McKinney TX

Description

Celtic pub rock group doing a "VH1 Storytellers" type gig. Our kit drummer is going to be out of town so we want to do a stripped down gig and need an experienced and tasteful auxiliary percussionist to sit in with us, with no rehearsal. We have bass and guitar that can keep time going but some cool percussion on top of that would be sweet! If you play Bodhran that's a bonus, but what we're thinking is somebody who can do a wide range of cool stuff. Stuff like: cajon, bongos, congas, shaker, wood block, bell tree, etc. The more interesting percussion stuff, the better. You'll need to supply you're own gear btw. This is a paid gig but you won't be retiring early on what we can afford to pay you. We're in NO WAY a cool band. We're all late 40's/50's so if you are at all hip or trendy, be aware we are not... If you have experience doing something like this please feel free to give me a shout. Share your experience and videos of you doing something similar if you can please, and I'll give you all the details on the band and the gig. Thanks for looking!
