VERY URGENT They will euthanize me on 6/1 (shelter said NO extensions) I have done nothing wrong just struggling in my kennel here! Adopter/Foster needed NOW! I’m set to be euthanized June 1st, 8 am. Why am I E-listed? STRESS! and struggling bad from long periods of confinement in this small concrete box I live in. Out of frustration, I’m barking and biting at the kennel gate because I want OUT!! It is inhumane to keep me here! Will you help save my life? I’m a 3-year-old, neutered, black and tan Australian Cattle Dog/American Pit Bull Terrier mix (58 lbs.). I came to the shelter as a stray. Sadly, a snare had to be used to get me off the officer’s truck, causing me to be terrified of being leashed. It took time and coaxing with treats to help me overcome this fear, but I did it!! You should look at me now. My tail wags all over when volunteers come to leash me. I’m easy to leash and take from and return to my kennel. And I walk well on-leash. I am very friendly and will give doggie kisses, and I might sit on your lap for attention and petting. That said, I have gotten a bit anxious when male customers have passed by me in the play yard. I will “sit” when offered treats and will take them gently. I haven’t had a dog-to-dog assessment, but shelter notes indicate that I am mostly non-reactive to other dogs in this noisy, chaotic place. Shelter life is REALLY HARD ON ME!! Please help me get out of here ASAP!! The shelter recommends that I meet the entire family before leaving, and that I have an adopter that understands stressed dogs like me. I will need time to de-stress and get to know your family.
