Great Pyrenees Mix PET HOME ONLY - MUST BE SPAYED
Events
Cheyenne WY
Description
1.5 year old, beautiful girl. She looks exactly like a shorter haired, purebred Pyrenees with the badger markings on her face. (darker color on her head) She's a big girl, over 100 pounds. She's not a terrible shedder, she isn't a fence jumper, and she's not a digger that I have noticed. You MUST have a fenced yard. If left outside a lot, she will be bark at strangers/vehicles/any perceived "threat" lol, but she's not an obsessive barker like some livestock guardians. She's only woofed a handful of times in the house, and it was at appropriate times, not just to hear herself talk. I was a professional groomer for years, and I will bathe and groom her before she goes to her new home for free. If ANYTHING ever happens that you cannot care for her, I will take her back, no questions asked. We are her breeder, and she came back to us due to the folks that bought her getting divorced and selling their farm. She does NOT want to be a livestock guardian, she wants to be a snuggle bug/velcro dog. She was a little nervous when we got her back, but she settled in quickly. She gets along well with all of our dogs, but all of our dogs are not so thrilled with her, lol. She is fine with cats, but will eat poultry if they are loose and she is, too. She is not indoors full time, but when she is inside, she has never had an accident and has scratched at the door to go out. She will check out our counters and try to stick her nose in the trash, but that's the worst habits I've noticed and she's been here since late January. She is fairly obedient for a guardian breed. (they are known for NOT being obedient, lol) She knows sit and down, she walks on a leash and loves car rides. She is fairly energetic, so if you want a walking or hiking buddy, she would be great. I would not trust her off leash, but when she has gotten out of the yard, she ran around like a dork and then came right back. She's never met a person or animals she didn't love. I am not asking any rehoming fee other than she be spayed immediately. She had an accidental litter of puppies in Feb, and she's an AWFUL momma. She has almost zero guarding instincts, as the people kept her inside, and she wanted nothing to do with her babies. It may be cheaper to get her spayed in WY, so if you would be interested in that, I'd be happy to do the legwork and let her recover a little bit before you take her home. If you would like to meet her, we could meet up in Cheyenne at a park and you can take her for a walk and bring your dogs to meet her, if you want.
