Youth will learn how to make a jam, jelly and a dill pickle recipe. They will also learn proper techniques to home process the food. These techniques include sterilization of jars, packing jars, and water bath processing.
Working in the kitchen requires proper safety measures to be followed. Please wear close toed-shoes, not sandals or flip flops. Have something to tie hair back if it is long.
Youth will spend all day working so you will need to bring a sack lunch to eat, drinks will be provided.
