Youth ages 9 - 13 will explore regional foods from across our country while learning cooking skills, preparing recipes, and having fun.
Each day youth will learn about foods from a different region of the United States. Dishes from the Northeast, Midwest, West, and Southeast will be prepared. Campers will be introduced to eating more fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices in place of flavoring with high amounts of sugar, salt, and fat.
Local chefs will share their expertise and career information with the campers. Teen 4-H members will lead small groups of younger youth through cooking experiences, crafts, games, and clean-up.
Each camper will receive a copy of the camp manual that includes recipes and tips to take home with them on the final day.
