GILROY, CA — A pedestrian suffered major injuries when a vehicle struck him in Gilroy on Saturday evening, according to police.
The collision was reported at about 5:50 p.m. at the intersection of Monterey and Leavesley roads, where officers arrived and found the man, who was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, police said.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Impairment is not currently considered a factor in the collision.
