In honor of Italian Republic Day celebrated on June 2, our summer "Cru Class" wine tasting will be sampling five Italian wines from small, family-owned producers. Led by McCarus Beverage's Lauren Baisley, each guest will receive a two-ounce sample of each: I Clivi Ribolla Gialla Brut Nature (2019)Ciro Picariello Fiano Irpinia (2019)Weingut Niklas Sauvignon Blanc (2020)Gurrieri Frappato (2020)Castell'in Villa Chianti Classico (2017)Included with each ticket, guests will be able to enjoy a charcuterie and cheese board prepared by Fireforge's Chef Ben Wright, and will also receive a bottle of the I Clivi Ribolla Gialla Brut Nature to take home. After the guided tasting, additional bottles of each wine will be available to order at below retail pricing. What does "Cru" mean? Cru is a wine term used to indicate a high-quality vineyard or group of vineyards. It's originally a French word traditionally translated as "growth." Come grow in your wine knowledge with us!
