Description
I have quite a few gerbils available for adoption (without enclosures).
They are between 4 and 6 months old, are well socialized and not nippy or fearful in anyway.
Agouti (Solid Brown)
Agouti Pied (Brown with White)
Slate Black (Solid Black)
Dove (Solid Soft Grey with Red Eyes)
I have males and females available.
They will only go out in pairs or trios. While gerbils can be solitary, they really should not be. They benefit greatly from having a clan.
1.1 sexed pairs are available as well.
25.00 per same sex pair.
35.00 per sexed pair.
Gerbils make amazing pets when well-socialized and properly cared for.
They are curious, social and incredibly clean little creatures that create minimal odor.
They are also diurnal! This means they are awake and active during the day, which provides plenty of opportunities for interaction or observation of them.
Weekly cage cleanings, daily feedings and water checks are part of their basic husbandry.
They should be given chew toys, hides or other enrichment items to prevent boredom, as with most mammals.
Glass tank enclosures work best for them as they are power chewers and love to burrow -- think of them as little demolition experts.
They typically live between 3 to 5 years for this particular species.
