Join us at the Kern County Superior Court! Come experience morning court calendars. If a judge is available, they can answer questions. We will also tour the departments: felony, civil, exhibits, records, jury, etc. to see the inner workings of the courthouse.We will meet at the security check of the main courthouse. The bailiffs will go over the courtroom rules and we’ll head in. *Students should come prepared to ask questions and participate in group discussion. Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration. *To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.*May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE! Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. Only 2 chaperones will be allowed per family due to limited space. Check-in Procedures: Please arrive at 9:45 am for check-in. Find Sarah Elliott out front of the Kern County Superior Courthouse. She will be wearing a Heartland t-shirt. Is there on-site parking available? Families will need to find parking in the downtown area. Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? No outside food and drinks.
