Meet Benson! This sweet and spunky boy is looking for his perfect home due to changing work schedules and an inability for us to meet his needs. He is a 2yo, housebroken, neutered and vaccinated German Shorthair Pointer/Lab mix. He is wonderful with women and children of all ages and has been friendly with the dogs he has been introduced to. Because of his prey drive and instinct to chase, I do not think cats would be good housemates for him. Benson is high energy and loves to play! His favorite things to do are fetch, tug of war, keep away, and playing with old volleyballs. He absolutely loves to be outside with his people and running around. Though he seems to have an endless energy supply, he knows to calm down in the house and is always ready for a cuddle session and a nap. He is extremely tolerant of children and enjoys their attention. He needs some more work on the leash, but I think he has the potential to be a great running buddy. Benson has some fears and anxieties with some men. It’s difficult to pinpoint the triggers because his reactivity is not consistent, but it seems to be men with facial hair and those coming down a staircase. I believe with the proper support, encouragement, and trust he could work through this insecurities. Located in Washougal and a rehoming fee will apply.
