Description
Need to tow this airplane fuselage to the Chandler Airport from my garage, only 5 (4.9) miles away.
Width of main gear (tires) is 88" outside-outside; however the axle nuts of the gear add 1" to each wheel, so any wheel wells on the trailer has to have at least 90" between. This is the tricky part.
Weight is under 1,000 pounds
I cannot find a bumper hitch trailer wide enough, so will need to hire a gooseneck hitched flatbed. I don't have a truck with a gooseneck hitch.
22' LOA
8' ground to top of the tail
This is just a low-speed, short run.
Will need a winch or muscle power and shallow ramp to pull the fuselage up onto the trailer. Standard tie-downs. Car hauler is difficult because the front gear will drop between the two narrow tire ramps, so a full ramp is best.
I'll have the plane out of the garage and into the driveway b4 you get here, so just need to load, drive, unload.
Please text with an estimate/questions (I don't answer the phone, sorry, blame the spammers :)
