Amex Gift Card | Scam or Not?

Hello: I'm having a very hard time finding info on this (seemingly) simple question, here it is: If you send someone a pic of the front of an Amex gift card (15 digit code, date and 4 digit code on top right)- is that enough info for them to redeem/drain the card? Or does it require the info on the BACK of the card? Or info from both sides? FYI I learned the hard way about eBay gift cards - someone only needs the last 4 digits of the scratch off number to redeem the card - the other numbers required to do that are also PRINTED RIGHT ON THE CARD!?!?!?!
