Description
We are building some mobile shelves so that we can easily move our equipment in and out of venues. The shelves should be straight-forward to build but I would like to work with someone who works often with woodworking projects and will give some extra guidance on how to make them sturdier. I don't have a place in Portland area to build these so we would need to work with someone who has their own tools and space.
Requirements:
- Strong base - to support weight and could be moved by forklift at some point
- Sturdy structure- We should be able to push and pull the boxes with weight in them and not have to worry about the structure breaking or leaning
- Lightweight where possible - These are hauled in a trailer and moved by personnel so a savings of a few pounds can be a lot
- Install corner guards and handles - We will add some road case hardware to the boxes
We'll be constructing a couple different variations but all are similar size/structure. Two of the sides will be covered by material rather than using wood for the walls.
- 5x - 60 in H x 48 in W x 30in D - Open wall design with 4 shelves
- 2x - 60 in H x 48 in W x 30in D - Enclosed with separators every 5 inches
- 1 x - 60 in H x 60 in W x 24in D - Open wall design for 8 lightweight shelves
My preferred way of working is that we can agree on a price per box and I can take care of purchasing the materials from home depot or lowes.
If interested, let me know an approximate price per box and we can do a call to confirm everything.
