Description
I am rehoming my Adult female Sulcata Tortoise. She is 27 years old and I have had her the whole time. She weighs over 100 pounds and shell measures 23" straight across the top. She is satisfied to mow the lawn everyday. She doesn't damage the grass in any way and generally seeks out the tall spots. she doesn't do the edging. I also have an Anna apple tree that drops apples to her and a fig tree that I pick for her. She requires a dark house that she can come and go from and her current house is heated in the winter. The heat may not be necessary but it keeps her active and keeps her immune system up. She generally comes out around 10 or 11 am. She is perfectly able to lay eggs and has produced good babies until I removed the male about twelve years ago. For her current size I would guess 20-25 eggs one to four times a year. I've had a few contacts from interested parties that just want to offer less for her. I think the price is fair and am sticking to it. It is most important to me that she goes to a good home with owners that will set her up right and are interested enough to learn all about her needs.
(she would like a mate)
