Description

Press release from City School District of Albany: May 26, 2022 The New York State Education Department announced Tuesday that it is canceling the June 1 U.S. History and Government exam following a review that determined the exam had "the potential to compound student trauma caused by the recent violence in Buffalo." Wednesday, June 1 will be a regular day of school for all students at Albany High School and Tony Clement Center for Education as a result of the state's decision. "It is not possible to produce a test with different content or to make modifications to the developed assessment in the short time period before the administration date," Education Commissioner Betty A. Rosa said. You can visit the State Ed website for more information about the cancellation. The rest of the Regents testing schedule for June remains unchanged. The last day of classes for Albany High is Tuesday, June 14. Regents exams will be given June 15-23. This press release was produced by City School District of Albany.
