Press release from City School District of Albany: May 26, 2022 The New York State Education Department announced Tuesday that it is canceling the June 1 U.S. History and Government exam following a review that determined the exam had "the potential to compound student trauma caused by the recent violence in Buffalo." Wednesday, June 1 will be a regular day of school for all students at Albany High School and Tony Clement Center for Education as a result of the state's decision. "It is not possible to produce a test with different content or to make modifications to the developed assessment in the short time period before the administration date," Education Commissioner Betty A.
