The Free Library of Philadelphia’s Culinary Literacy Center welcomes the Philadelphia Bee Company to teach us everything we didn’t know we don’t know about bees—including how different varieties of honey are produced.
In this outdoor event, taste different varietals (including some harvested from the library’s own beehives, as well as the infamous spotted lanternfly Doom Bloom!) paired with cheese from Dietz & Watson as you learn about local pollinators and honey production, as well as how to balance distinct flavors.
Pre-registration is required. All proceeds from ticket sales go towards supporting the Culinary Literacy's Center programs for youth, neighborhood engagement, and English language learning. To learn more, please visit freelibrary.org/cook!
Free tickets available for SNAP eligible families and for anyone who cannot afford the fee right now but would still like to participate. Please email [email protected] for more information.
