MANCHESTER, CT — A man is facing seven criminal charges after a shooting incident in Manchester Thursday night that led to two standoffs that spilled into Friday, police said. At 10:07 p.m., officers responded to the area of 192 Hartford Road after police received reports of gun shots. According to an incident report a witness said that a man has fired multiple rounds from the porch of 192 Hartford Road and he was identified as 66-year-old Daniel Kiley of Manchester. He is accused of firing several rounds at a neighbor's vehicle as it drove away after a verbal dispute, according to an incident report. Police established a perimeter around the home and used an armored vehicle to approach it in order to make contact with Kiley, who did not respond to officers, according to an incident report. Police entered the residence but did not locate Kiley inside. No one was injured inside the home, police said. Just before 1 a.m. Friday, a tip led officers to Kiley's vehicle in East Hartford near High Court and ands armored vehicle was called in again to approach Kiley, who was sleeping in the vehicle. Kiley was taken into custody and the gun was seized, according to an incident report. Kiley was charged with: Criminal attempt at first-degree assault Criminal possession of a firearmCriminal possession of ammunitionCarrying a pistol without a permitFirst-degree reckless endangerment First-degree criminal mischief Unlawful discharge of a firearmKiley was held on a $1 million bond and was to appear in court on Friday, police said.
