Press release from the City of Irving: May 19, 2022 Beginning Friday, May 20 at 8 p.m., TxDOT will close two ramps affecting northbound Loop 12 traffic: The on-ramp before Grauwyler Road to northbound Loop 12. See detour map. The northbound Loop 12 off-ramp after Grauwyler Road to the State Highway 183 eastbound frontage road. See detour map. These ramp closures will be in effect through Sunday, May 22, at 5 a.m., weather permitting. In addition, northbound Loop 12 main lanes, from Union Bower Road to SH 183, will experience rolling closures Friday, May 20 at 8 p.m. through Sunday, May 22 at 5 a.m. Drivers should follow detour routes and plan ahead for extra travel time or seek alternate routes. Irving Interchange Project This work is part of the ongoing $301 million Irving Interchange project that will reconstruct the interchanges at SH 183, SH 114, Loop 12 and Spur 482. The project is anticipated to complete in mid-2023, weather permitting. TxDOT is urging motorists to use caution in the work zone.
