CLTure and Jack the Radio have partnered with Charlotte comic book convention, HeroesCon, for its official 40th anniversary kick-off party on Thursday, June 23, 2022! The party will be held at the new Super Abari Game Bar in the Belmont neighborhood of Charlotte. Local and regional musical acts will be featured both indoors and outdoors, including Jack the Radio, Ancient Cities, Sonny Miles, Erick Lottary, Shame Gang, Modern Moxie, and Nia J. Charlotte comic book artists Ken Knutsen and Glenn Urieta will create special edition event-themed posters for the 40th anniversary celebration, and renowned Marvel Comics colorist Rico Renzi and Bill Cox of Comic Art Fans will make special guest appearances. Charlotte’s VisArt Video will also be setting up a pop-up shop at the event. Sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Pabst Brewing Company, each $10 ticket purchase also includes entry into a raffle to win an Xbox Series S provided by Monster Energy.
