This is also when we want to be alone because being alone is the only time we get to pretend as if things are fine. In this "safe place" we get to cry or yell as loud as we want without having to answer the looming question of "What's wrong?" Another caveat to being alone is feeling the pressure...the pressure of not having the relationship we want, the pressure of being sick, the pressure of being in debt, always behind, feeling like we cant catch up, . Life is passing by yet, you're struggling to keep up. Dreams are pushed aside and reality sets in because what's the point of dreaming when you feel like it'll never happen right!?!
