The Walker County Sheriff's Office says Paula Charlene Painter, 54, has been jailed on the charges due to her involvement in the incident. As Patch reported on Thursday, the residence where the home invasion occurred was in the area of 4th Avenue NE and Marlin Jordan Road. AL.com's Carol Robinson first reported on Friday that two 47-year-old Talladega County men — Clifton Embry and Dewayne Turner Jr. were identified as the two men killed during the incident. Both men, who were reportedly wearing ski masks, were found dead of gunshot wounds at the scene and investigators now claim Painter helped the men plan and carry out the home invasion and robbery. The male victim is recovering at UAB Hospital after being shot multiple times. His status is unclear at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
