Sad as the deaths in Texas were by a mental case who had not been picked up and institutionalized in time due to Government ineptness; It is even sadder that many extreme leftist anti-Americans and the naive and under educated but overly indoctrinated children they use as poster children go after the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and the very foundation that made America GREAT, and DIFFERENT than most other societies. The Second Amendment they should have learned, is not about "hunting". Here are some real solutions to address the issue of mentally ill and irresponsible people plaguing our modern society, and equal rights to boot: 1) Raise the age of majority to 21 years of age except in the case of VOLUNTARY Military Service. That means gun purchases, Bows, Black Powder firearms,fireworks, knives or any other weapon, as well as voting. 2) Equal rights, responsibility and duty.....Institute mandatory draft registration for all (ERA You want the perks, you also get more responsibility) Re-Institute the draft and create a "CCC" for those unqualified for Military Service or otherwise disabled. This would teach responsibility and allow a mental assessment of all draftees. 3) Mandate that ANYONE caught violating drinking, gun possession,or drug law prior to turning 21 be permanently disbarred from legal possession of alcohol, drugs or firearms for life. 4) Provide for commitment of anyone making threats or attempting to carry them out, for no fewer than 5 years and loss of "rights" permanently 5) Disbar anyone who has ever been prescribed anti-depressants or psychotropic drugs from ever owning a weapon (of any type) or voting, for life 6) Any person found using drugs or alcohol and driving any vehicle when fewer than 21 years of age will be banned from ever owning or operating any motor vehicle for life.
