Music from the ‘50s Thru ‘80s. Elvis,ZZ Top, Beatles, Willie,Orbison,Van Morrison,Redding,James Brown,Stones, I need a good pocket, church drummer who can understand 4-5 different styles ranging from Latin balled and slow country to a little reggae, funk, Motown, 6/8 blues, fast country, ‘70s dance, etc. This is a group for players who are serious quality and also dependable and who really listen to one another when playing and performing as a team. It’s a trio, I’m the vox/guitar/synth leader and I think playing with a good rhythm section is mandatory for me to enjoy the live band gigs I get. I have two excellent bassists and a few drummers I can ask to work with me - I would like to meet the next great drummer for my band so that I can enjoy myself playing and singing as my side-hustle. I’ve had a band now for over 5 years, we have a good, solid playlist, and I just need good players to make it work. This is a high-energy group and most of the drummers have been young with a lot of skill so I won’t hold age against anyone. Even though we play a lot of slower to medium tempo songs, it takes good musicianship. I use all tube amps, Epiphone and Schector guitars. You will be asked to come and audition.
