Guitarist/singer seeks bass, drums for neo grunge project

Meets

Baton Rouge LA

Description

I've moved back to BR after years away and am looking to make some music; at this point I'm feeling really drawn to 90s grunge/alt rock, heavier sounds with lyrical substance and fun opportunities to jam + get people moving. Get a feel for where my head's at - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1YNNew7ZN4zUlIuJweuMZs?si=14b135f539fe4441 This spotify playlist is just a starting point I put together; ideally we start by covering stuff in this realm + beyond (tell me what you're into), lock in together, and through jamming write some originals too. This vibe/energy is what I want to bake into the group's musical DNA though, so if you don't gel with it, maybe look elsewhere I'm looking to play shows, jam, have fun and share music + provoke a bit of thought. Picturing a 3 piece, or a 4 piece if we end up needing additional support from a lead guitarist. I can sing and play guitar. I'm in need of a kick ass rhythm section who are tight, quick to pick up on new songs and grooves, and can JAM. Looking for people whose personal essence comes through even when playing covers. Ideally, at least one of you can sing (backup/harmonies, or even full time for us to trade and have a bit more range/vocal variety) Be talented, have gear, and be interesting AND interested. Age isn't a dealbreaker (ideally we're all 20s - early 30s) - Talent and ability to channel the music is key. Egos, drama, excessive substance/partying, and those without original thoughts of their own should not apply. With the right people, we can get something up and running over the summer. About me: 31 years old, originally from Baton Rouge, have lived in NYC, SoCal, and Sri Lanka. Most recent project was a hip hop/rnb group in Santa Ana, CA called Frosty (I composed, played guitar, produced, and handled the brand management/PR side). I have a professional background in marketing, advertising, and PR. I've got a lot of free time on my hands right now, so I'm looking for people who can also spend a good amount of time jamming and doing music - this can't succeed as a touch and go kind of thing. let's link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4HXG_0MhtQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu6W_d6KUQE&list=PLyly79S_tIq9059QGQGb766eDVIv-U9mk https://soundcloud.com/randall-head send me an email with your info, any links/recordings, and why you are interested.
