Does you child love drawing, coloring, painting, and creating? Wouldn't it be cool if your child could identify art by Van Gogh, Mondrian, Kandinsky, or Kusama? Would you love art so cool you could hang it on your walls as actual art pieces? Having some time to make dinner, put away laundry, or have a quiet moment to yourself, while your child created amazing art under the supervision of an adult would be pretty awesome, right? If you answered yes to any or all of the above, read on! Leaving the education field after over 15 years, I am offering my services as an after school art instructor for your young one. You child will learn the necessary skills and techniques to freely handle art mediums, while engaged in open-ended lessons that leave room for greater opportunities to explore, discover, reflect, and innovate – all of which are essential to our children’s living in the visual age. About me: I hold a master's degree in marriage and family therapy. Through coursework and work in the field, I've discovered how therapeutic art can be for children in releasing stress, anxiety, or just finding balance after a long day at school. I've worked with preschool to elementary school-aged children, and taught in classrooms as well. Lessons are $60/session and about 1.5 hours in length. I come to your home with all the materials.
